TIMBER CONNECTORS / LARGE REINFORCED ANGLE BRACKETS

Simpson Strong-Tie E20/3 Large Reinforced Angle Bracket

The Simpson Strong-Tie E20/3 is an exceptionally robust, heavy-duty large reinforced structural angle bracket designed for extreme load-bearing applications in timber framing, cross-laminated timber (CLT), and structural wood-frame construction. Precision-manufactured from 3.0mm extra-heavy gauge pre-galvanised steel (Z275 coating), this 170mm x 95mm x 113mm connector features pressed diagonal stiffening ribs to deliver ultimate resistance against multi-directional shear and tensile forces. Capable of withstanding dynamic suction and pull forces in all directions, a single E20/3 bracket installed on either side of a beam or post assembly provides an unyielding connection that can even serve as a high-capacity alternative to traditional joist hangers in heavy structural framing.

EXCLUSIVE TRADE PROCUREMENT & PROJECT DISCOUNT SUPPORT

As part of our commitment to supplying the complete Simpson Strong-Tie timber connector range with comprehensive stock availability, we offer tailored commercial packages for timber frame erecting contractors, CLT specialists, and commercial site developers. If you have an active commercial contract requiring high volumes or need to challenge site costings on a case-by-case basis, please contact our technical sales desk directly to discuss competitive volume-based trade discounts negotiated in direct partnership with the manufacturer.

CRITICAL STRUCTURAL APPLICATION & SPECIFICATION MANDATE

The E20/3 bracket is fully certified under European Technical Assessment (ETA-06/0106) regulations for structural load-bearing timber connections. Engineered with an extensive multi-hole pattern including 5mm nail/screw clearance holes and 11mm bolt holes across both flanges, it permits flexible full or partial fastening patterns. Fasten to supporting timber members using Simpson Strong-Tie CNA 4.0mm annular ring-shank nails or CSA 5.0mm connector screws; anchor to concrete slab bases or masonry walls using M10 mechanical wedge anchors or AT-HP / POLY-GP chemical resin injection systems with M12 threaded studs.
