Part of UiC's innovative and market leading sustainable eyewear range, these ECO safety spectacles are made using recycled materials and environmentally friendly bio-based manufacturing processes. The side arms and frames of the spectacles are made from 99% recycled Polycarbonate, significantly reducing the amount of virgin resources required in the supply chain. Massive reductions in CO2 due to the use of this recycled material take production CO2 levels from 4.7kg per 1kg of production to just 0.02kg, contributing greatly to the ECO range’s credentials. The bio-based manufacturing process used in the lens manufacture further reduces CO2 production by 50% in comparison to petroleum based material. Additionally, TPE/TPR material is used that is known to be less harmful to the planet than PVC. The spectacles will come packaged in recycled cardboard and individually wrapped in paper bags for plastic free packaging.
