The SPAX-Iso screw is suitable for installing soft materials used in over rafter insulation. Pressure loads, such as those caused by roofing or snow loads, cannot be absorbed by compressible insulating materials. Partial-thread screws are not suitable for installing compressible insulating materials. Thanks to SPAX-Iso, installing compressible insulating materials is not a problem. The fixing thread holds the counter-batten tight and transfers the compressive forces. This keeps the insulating material in place.
