TIMBER CONNECTORS / CLT REINFORCED ANGLE BRACKETS

Simpson Strong-Tie ABR255 Reinforced Angle Bracket for CLT

The Simpson Strong-Tie ABR255 is an engineered, heavy-duty structural angle bracket purpose-designed for high-load connections in cross-laminated timber (CLT), glulam, and heavy timber frame construction. Manufactured from extra-thick 3.0mm pre-galvanised structural steel (Z275 coating), this 255mm x 100mm x 90mm connector incorporates prominent pressed stiffening ribs to deliver exceptional resistance against horizontal shear, overturning moments, and vertical uplift forces. Ideal for securing CLT wall panels to floor slabs, inter-storey wall ties, post-to-beam junctions, and timber-to-concrete foundation bases, the ABR255 provides unyielding structural stability across modern mass timber framing applications.

EXCLUSIVE TRADE PROCUREMENT & PROJECT DISCOUNT SUPPORT

As part of our commitment to supplying the comprehensive Simpson Strong-Tie mass timber range with outstanding availability, we provide bespoke commercial support for mid-rise timber contractors, CLT erectors, and commercial developments. If you have a site requirement for high volumes or need to challenge structural connector rates on a case-by-case basis, please contact our technical sales desk directly to discuss competitive volume-based trade discounts negotiated in direct partnership with the manufacturer.

CRITICAL STRUCTURAL APPLICATION & SPECIFICATION MANDATE

The ABR255 bracket is fully certified under European Technical Assessment (ETA-06/0106) regulations for structural deployment parameters in timber-to-timber and timber-to-concrete applications. Featuring an optimized hole pattern comprising Ø5mm nail/screw holes alongside Ø12mm bolt holes, it permits flexible full or partial fixings. Fasten to timber substrates using Simpson Strong-Tie CNA 4.0mm annular ring-shank nails or CSA 5.0mm connector screws; anchor to concrete foundation bases or concrete floor slabs using M10/M12 mechanical wedge anchors or AT-HP / POLY-GP chemical resin injection systems with threaded studs.

03.
Tailgate On-Site Offloading: Bulk shipments drop cleanly at your structural site boundary line via integrated tail-lift carrier transport systems.

Logistics Scope & Out-Of-Zone Shipments

Standard courier pricing arrays map explicitly to structural mainland UK postal grids. Supplementary transit routing variables, variable lead times, or specialised carrier adjustments apply across high-altitude or outlying maritime zones:

  • Scottish Highlands & Islands: Postcode structures matching KW, IV, PA, and PH configurations map to alternative transit grids. Please review checkout calculations for accurate real-time weights.
  • Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Channel Islands: Water-crossing logistical paths require clean custom manifesting lines.
  • Heavy Oversized Pallets: Extended multi-ply girder connectors, structural space straps, 3m channel unistrut, or high-volume masonry hangers pass through dedicated heavy haulage grids.
NEED SPECIFIC AM DELIVERY TIMES OR TIMED SITE COORDINATION? If your project features demanding time windows, unique site access restrictions, or crane offload coordination, contact our central logistics desk directly on 01707 375172 or email your schedule over to finalise arrangements.
