QUIK DRIVE® AUTO-FEED SYSTEMS / COLLATED FIBRE CEMENT TO STEEL SCREWS

Simpson Strong-Tie Official Logo

Simpson Strong-Tie CBSDQ41E Quik Drive Self-Drilling Fibre Cement Screws (4.2mm x 41mm - Box of 1500)

The Simpson Strong-Tie CBSDQ41E is a specialised collated fastener engineered for fast, secure attachment of fibre cement board, cementitious panels, and dense timber subflooring to cold-formed steel framing up to 3.0mm thick using Quik Drive® auto-feed systems. Featuring a self-drilling #2 point with reaming wings, the fastener drills oversized clearance holes through the cement board to prevent cracking and binding. Upon contacting the underlying steel flange, the wings break away immediately, allowing the self-tapping fine threads to pull the board flush and tightly clamped to the substrate. Designed with under-head self-countersinking ribs and protected by a robust Quik Guard® exterior corrosion-resistant coating for Service Class 2 environments, each box contains 1,500 collation-strip screws and includes matching driver bits.

CE Marked Service Class 2 Outdoor Rated Quik Guard Coating EPD EN 15804 Certified

RECOMMENDED TOOL COMPATIBILITY & DRIVER BITS

The CBSDQ41E collation strips are purpose-built for smooth, jam-free driving with Simpson Strong-Tie QDPRO51E, QDPRO64E, and QD76KE Quik Drive® attachments. Recommended for screwdriving motors operating at 2,500 RPM. Each box comes supplied complete with matching replacement BIT2SUE driver bits to ensure full torque transfer and prevent head damage.

KEY STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES

  • Self-Reaming Drill Wings: Wings widen the clearance path through dense cement board to stop thread engagement and binding, then shear off instantly on steel contact to pull the sheet securely tight.
  • Drills Heavy Gauge Metal: Hardened #2 self-drilling point easily pierces structural cold-formed steel sections up to 3.0mm thick without pre-drilling.
  • Ribbed Countersinking Flat Head: Under-head cutting nibs countersink smoothly into dense cementitious boards for a flat, trip-free surface finish.
  • Quik Guard® Corrosion Shield: High-performance coating provides corrosion resistance for damp interior spaces and exterior sheltered cladding assemblies (Service Class 2).

How We Keep Your Builds Moving

We operate our own dedicated logistics vans out of Luton alongside leading national freight carriers, ensuring full trace visibility from our warehouse shelves straight to site.

01.
Instant Hub Sorting: Approved orders pass straight to active pick queues via our localised automated barcode stock framework.
02.
Heavy Component Packing: Structural products are safely stored in industrial reinforced cartons or strapped securely to pallets to fully safeguard fine threads and anti-corrosion zinc surfaces.
03.
Tailgate On-Site Offloading: Bulk shipments drop cleanly at your structural site boundary line via integrated tail-lift carrier transport systems.

Logistics Scope & Out-Of-Zone Shipments

Standard courier pricing arrays map explicitly to structural mainland UK postal grids. Supplementary transit routing variables, variable lead times, or specialised carrier adjustments apply across high-altitude or outlying maritime zones:

  • Scottish Highlands & Islands: Postcode structures matching KW, IV, PA, and PH configurations map to alternative transit grids. Please review checkout calculations for accurate real-time weights.
  • Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Channel Islands: Water-crossing logistical paths require clean custom manifesting lines.
  • Heavy Oversized Pallets: Extended multi-ply girder connectors, structural space straps, 3m channel unistrut, or high-volume masonry hangers pass through dedicated heavy haulage grids.
NEED SPECIFIC AM DELIVERY TIMES OR TIMED SITE COORDINATION? If your project features demanding time windows, unique site access restrictions, or crane offload coordination, contact our central logistics desk directly on 01707 375172 or email your schedule over to finalise arrangements.
